I have the fortune to meet Shannon several times at public events. Was able to take her picture and have my picture taken with her. We talked about the possibility of doing a photo shoot and her up and coming website. She gave me a slip of paper with her website address on it, "www.officialshannontweed.com" (see below) and then I waited and waited for her site to come up. Finally I noticed her site wasn't even registered any longer. Rather than have it dissapear or get gobbled up by some malcontent, I snatched it until such time Shannon can really use it. Now I have another reason to talk to her :) Have talked to Shannon again and am still trying to persuade her to get involved with her site.

Biography

Born in Canada, Shannon Tweed rose to stardom as Miss November, 1981 for Playboy magazine. In 1982 she began her movie career and also appeared in the TV series "Falcon Crest" (1981). She became Playmate of the Year in 1982. She was briefly involved with Playboy magazine founder Hugh M. Hefner, but has carried on a longterm relationship with former KISS member Gene Simmons since 1983. She has become somewhat of a "B" movie "queen", appearing in numerous low-budget "erotic thrillers" and adventure films. She and Simmons have two children, a son named Nicolas born in 1989 and a daughter Sophie born in 1992.

Older sister of Tracy Tweed. Shannon and Tracy had a Playboy TV show for awhile.

Represented the Ottawa Valley in the 1978 Miss Canada Pageant, placing fourth.

Is the third of seven children. She has 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Her appearance in Playboy was arranged by a Canadian TV series entitled "Thrill of a Lifetime" (1981) which fulfilled real-life fantasies of ordinary Canadians.
